Keep chance in perspective

Understanding the wheel does not make the next spin predictable.

For adult readers

RouletteScout is intended for readers aged 18 and over. This is our audience policy, not a statement that gambling is legal from 18 everywhere. Rules and minimum ages vary. Check the requirements where you live before using any gambling service.

A house edge is a long-run average

Our zero comparison assumes equally likely pockets and a straight-up bet paying 35 to 1. Under those assumptions, a 37-pocket wheel has a 2.70% house edge and a 38-pocket wheel has a 5.26% house edge. Those figures describe an expected loss over many bets. They do not limit what you can lose in one session.

A fair wheel does not remember previous results. Changing your stake after a loss cannot remove the edge built into the probabilities and payouts. A run of one colour does not make the other colour due.

Set boundaries before playing

If you choose to gamble, set money and time limits in advance, use only money you can afford to lose and stop when either limit is reached. Do not borrow to play or try to win back losses by increasing your bets. Taking a break is a valid decision.

If gambling is affecting your finances, relationships or wellbeing, consider the blocking and self-exclusion options available to you. Seek support from a qualified local gambling-support service or a healthcare professional. Availability differs by country; use services appropriate to where you live.
